Jewelry

By the 1940s, synthetic rhinestones and cheap metal made 1940s jewelry accessible to women of most income levels. No well-respected woman of the time would have left the house for a night on the town without a necklace or brooch to complete her ensemble.

Propaganda pins and sweetheart jewelry allowed women to show their wartime spirit.

While some German women also opted for propaganda pieces that showed allegiance to the Third Reich, others opted for traditional Bavarian styles.
