Commercial French products were used by the Germans during the occupation and by the Americans after the liberation of France. Gifts from Paris were sent home by troops of both countries.

The French Resistance were mostly supplied by covert drops of British and American equipment, but French military gear, equipment, and ammunition still existed from the French Army.
