Description

This WWII Gremlin Gus Stuffed toy is a replica of the stuffed doll that was created by the Walt Disney company for the WWII movie “The Gremlins” by Roald Dahl.  The movie never got made, but the WWII Gremlin stuffed toys did.
“The Gremlins” was written by Roald Dahl, ex-RAF pilot, and the same author that wrote “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “James and the Giant Peach”.
“The Gremlins” is the story of a WWII RAF pilot and how he discovers Gus the Gremlin on his plane, and convinces the WWII Gremlin Gus and the other Gremlins to help them with the war against the Germans.
Even though the movie was never made, the lore of the Gremlins continued throughout the war. Gremlins appeared in Disney comics and in several cartoons.  Many AAF units adopted Gremlins.  The 5th Ferry Group features Gus the Gremlin on their squadron patch.
Gus stands 14″ tall from the top of his horns to the bottom of his boots and was made by Dark Horse Comics.
In the photo gallery, we have a picture of Gus with Walt Disney and Roald Dahl.
