This Berlin air lift era Rhein Main Air Base T shirt is a reproduction of an original WWII Rhein Main Air Base tee shirt.
The dates on the original shirt are somewhat puzzling as well as the depiction of a bomber. However, further research indicated that Rhein Main was initially intended to be a B-25 base. The 1948 date likely corresponds to the beginning of the Berlin Blockade.
The Rhein Main Air Base in Frankfurt Germany was established in 1945. During the Berlin Airlift, Rhein Main Air Base was an air transport command base and the main American terminal in western Germany for the air lift.
All of our WWII Tee shirts are hand screen printed like they were during the war, so variations in colors naturally occur.
Our WWII PT shirts have the U.S Spec tag in the neck. The Rhein Main Air Base T-shirt is made of 100% cotton and runs true to size. Women’s sizes are available upon request. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
