The WWII V for Victory T Shirt promotes a popular WWII Slogan displaying the dot, dot, dot, dash of the Morse Code V. The design is from a set of iron-on transfers sold to decorate clothing and other textiles.
Original, WWII era Iron-on transfers turn up frequently on eBay and come with simple DIY instructions. While most of them tend to be solids or red and blue, there are occasionally yellow and blue ones. The size varies, although we’ve admittedly taken some liberty in the scaling of this particular transfer for use on a t-shirt. These DIY iron-ons are inconsistent and sometimes crude compared to commercial screen printing of the time. Instead of heavy solid fills, the iron-ons tend to use thin lines. The lines aren’t perfectly in-line and the colors don’t always line up correctly. We’ve chosen to keep these elements in the reproduction.
All of our WWII Tee shirts are hand screen printed like they were during the war, so variations in colors naturally occur.
Our WWII PT shirts have the U.S Spec tag in the neck. The Remember Pearl Harbor Hawaii T shirt is made of 100% cotton and runs true to size. Women’s sizes are available upon request. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
