Description

This WAC T Shirt is a reproduction of a WWII Ft. Oglethorpe, GA PT shirt for the WAAC’s from an original WWII photograph.   Like their male counterparts, WACS wore their t-shirts during sports games, activities, and inter-service competitions.

In January of 1942, Fort Oglethorpe became the third and the largest training center of the WAAC’s.  Other units and specialized schools came to Ft. Oglethorpe during 1942, including the Provost Marshal School which trained both men and women in their work as military police, the MP’s.

The Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps, WAAC, became the Women’s Army Corps, WAC, in July of 1943.

This WAC T shirt is screened by hand and variation in colors naturally occur, as they did during WWII..
