WWII Join the WAAC Fan was a recruiting promotion with the slogan, Serve with the Army. Such promotional material appeared on everything from pencils and matches and calendars to milk bottle caps and other giveaways.  Often, such items were advertising pieces that also included a company’s name, address, or phone number.

The WAAC (Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps) was founded on May 15th, 1942.  The WAACS were converted to active duty status on July 1st, 1943, becoming the Women’s Army Corps (WAC).
